This modern Bauhaus-style finca was built on the foundations of a Mallorcan stone house, built in 1969. Occupying a corner plot, it is just a 5-minute walk to the port of Porto Petro. Of particular note is the incorporation of original elements, such as round arches, stone steps, terrace beams and the stone benches at front of the main entrance.
The main entrance leads directly to the lower floor of the house. This area has a guest toilet, a living room with exit to the covered terrace, a kitchen with exit to the carport and garden area, two bedrooms, a bathroom
and an OTIS elevator that connects the floors.
The terrace adjacent to the living room, like the entire house, has underfloor heating, so that a conservatory could be built later on.
On the first floor of the house there are two bedrooms – each with a bathroom en suite. These go off to the right and left of the hallway and each has a private terrace.
The spacious master bedroom with an open bathroom and planned fitness area has an open vanity, a separate toilet, an open shower and a pre-installed connection for a free-standing bath or whirlpool tub in the room.
In the sleeping area there is an exit to the terrace with a safety ladder to the roof terrace and a staircase to the Mediterranean garden – planted with oleanders.
High walls on all terraces ensure private sunbathing.
The elevator also leads to the 90 sq m roof terrace with views of the fields and the sea – behind the port entrance of Porto Petro.
The small port town with just 500 inhabitants is located in the municipality of Santanyi in the southeast of Mallorca.
The charming little restaurants near the harbor also invite you to linger.
Porto Petro is a small village that has retained it´s original charm as a fishing port. It´s history goes back to the 16th century, when the port gained importance as a transshipment point for goods.
Today it primarily serves as a port of call for smaller fishing and leisure boats. Llaüts, the traditional Mallorcan boats, can still be seen here.
It is about 55 kilometres from the capital Palma.
Cala D’Or can be reached by car in just 5 minutes.
