Port d’Alcúdia is the largest resort on the north coast. Its sandy beaches stretch for 10 km and are located south of the marina and the island’s second largest freight port. From here there are regular ferries connecting Mallorca with Menorca and mainland France. The Ma-12 road from Port d’Alcudia towards Artà passes through the S’Albufera nature reserve (a must for bird watchers) and the popular and lively beaches and resorts of Can Picafort and Playa de Muro.
