This detached villa in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar was built in 1968. People came from mainland Spain to see this property, which is not a typical Mallorcan village house.
On the 785 m2 plot, which is terraced and the house has 286 m² of living space. The constructed area including terrace, outdoor washing area, garage and small picnic area covers 325 sq m.
As one enters the light-flooded entrance hall, you will notice the high ceilings, the beautiful tiles and the large staircase to the upper floor. The rooms then lead off the hall. On the ground floor there is a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with an adjoining storage room, a bathroom with a bathtub and a bedroom which is connected to the bathroom. The bathroom is also accessible from the hallway.
There is a large lemon tree at the front of the large bathroom window.
Upstairs there are three more bedrooms (one with a balcony) and two separate rooms that make up the bathroom for the upstairs. One has one toilet and a sink, in the other there is a brick shower.
If you go outside on the upper floor, an open staircase leads even further up. There is a storage room that could be converted into a great workshop or studio. From here you can enjoy a view over the town of Sant Llorenc and the church.
Located in the northeast , Sant Llorenç is just a few kilometres from Manacor.
This authentic Majorcan village is surrounded by a large nature and agricultural area with almonds trees, herds of animals, fig and olive trees.
In the village itself there are all the necessary facilities (shops, drugstores, groceries, banks etc.), as well as restaurants, bars and even small hotels.
There are also schools and other public service buildings in Sant Llorenç.
2000 years B.C, in the Bronze Age or people lived in the area that today belongs to Sant Llorenç. For this reason, there are a large number of archaeological sites. In 1892, Sant Llorenç became an independent municipality, which includes S’Illot, Cala Millor and Sa Coma, among others.
Sant Llorenç was connected to Manacor and Artá by train until 1977, when the service was discontinued. Today, the former railway line invites you to go running, cycling or horseback riding.
In the centre of the village is the 14th-century Baroque church that stands on Plaça Nova, the village’s central square.
