The El Terreno district is bordered by the sea and the Bellver castle, as well as by the rivers of Mal Pas and s’Aigo Dolça – the latter being underground.

Where the old streets of Génova and Portopí cross – today they are called Robert Graves and Joan Miró – is Plaça Gomila. From the 1960s to the 1980s it became the centre of leisure activity in the Mallorcan capital but from the 1990s this area experienced a significant decline.

This area slopes down towards the coast allowing, a view of the sea from most of the houses, however, high-rise buildings were added over time, so today only a few houses enjoy the view of the harbour and the Paseo Maritimo.
