Due to the large number of year-round residents in Cala Murada some bars, restaurants and supermarkets are open all year round.

Further amenities can be found in the nearby towns of Portocolom, Felanitx, Manacor and Porto Cristo.
From Cala Murada, one can reach the beaches of Cales de Mallorca by foot. Cala Domingos Gran and Petit as well as Cala Antena can be reached from the footpath along the coast.

The area surrounding the village is characterized by extensive pine forests and meadows with fig, carob and almond trees.

Attractive excursion include visiting the former small fishing village of Portocolom, which is popular with locals and tourists alike. It has a marina promenade overlooking the island’s largest natural harbour and also has many restaurants and cafés. A hiking trail from Cala Murada across the wild Cala S’Algar takes one on foot to the old fishing port of Portocolom between the old town and the Sa Punta peninsula.

The airport can be reached in just 40 minutes via the new highway that connects Llucmajor with Campos.
